We do not issue rain checks or refunds. We are open rain or shine, and all acts will be performed as scheduled unless conditions threaten the safety of participants.
How To Get A Job At A Renaissance Fair
*Customers with unused 2020 Festival admission tickets may present the tickets at the 2022 Festival box office for entry or the tickets may be retained and presented at the 2022 Festival box office. No 2020 tickets will be accepted after the 2022 season.
Renaissance Faire & Festival
Most food vendors/stands accept credit/debit cards. Additionally, ATMs are available throughout the park. The Festival does not accept personal checks or foreign currency at all locations.
Yes. Active military, vets, and first responders receive $5.00 off gate admission with proper ID. Festival Friday, September 30, all military, vets and first responders enter FREE.
All stage performances, including jousts, are included in admission. You can choose to buy arts and crafts, food or drink, or enjoy rides and games (costs vary).
Yes. Please have your hand stamped at the door when you leave. When you re-enter the park, show your dabbed hand for re-entry. The festival only allows re-entry on the same day on the ground. Re-entry is not permitted after 7:00 p.m.
Themed Weekends — Carolina Renaissance Festival
Yes. Your dog can attend the festival on all opening days during our season. See ticket prices for admission. Your dog must be 6 months or older and have up-to-date shooting records. See dog policy for more information.
You can pick up your passes at the festival ticket office. The ticket office is located right next to the entrance gate into the park.
Tickets are available for purchase online and at the festival box office. You can choose your option to make any purchase method you choose.
If you purchased tickets online and cannot find the original email via etix.com, please email us and we will be happy to email the tickets back to you.
What You Need To Know For Kansas City Renaissance Festival 2022
No. The festival is not open on weekdays (Monday to Friday). We are only open 1 Monday of the year which is Labor Day and 1 Friday of the year which is Festival Friday. Check the hours during festival season to see what day that would be.
Games take place 3 times a day. 1 p.m., 3 p.m. & 5 p.m. It’s FREE and included in admission to the festival.
Parking is FREE! Disabled parking is available. You show your handicap sign or tell the attendant you have a plate and he will point you to the handicap parking lot near the front door entrance.
The Michigan Renaissance Festival does NOT allow outside food or beverages through our doors unless the food is a medical necessity such as infant formula/baby food. (The Festival will allow one (1) unopened (factory sealed) 16.9oz water bottle per person to be brought through the front door.) NO reusable/refillable bottles are permitted. All vials must be empty before entering the Festival gates! You can bring a cooler to leave in your car if you wish. If you choose to do so, it must remain in your car. Customers are welcome to exit through our doors, receive a hand stamp, return to their car, and re-enter through our doors later the same day. Please note: All bags are inspected at the front door! If you follow a specific diet or have food allergies, the following gluten-free and vegetarian options are available for guests with special dietary needs. Due to high volume production, Renaissance Festival dining venues cannot accommodate or guarantee separate cooking surfaces. Customers with sensitive or life-threatening allergies (such as peanuts, tree nuts, soy, milk, eggs, and wheat) should exercise extreme caution as food is transported, stored, and prepared nearby .

No. The Michigan Renaissance Festival allows dogs ONLY! Whether you have a big dog or a small dog, you can bring your dog as long as he is 6 months old or older. We do not allow customers to bring their chicken, bird, snake, cat, monkey, turtle or any other type of pet other than a dog (please see policy section on bringing your dog ).
Unfortunately we do not have this accommodation. Expectant mothers can be dropped off in front of the entrance gate.
We have portable potties on our grounds with hand sanitizer stations. There are also portable potties accessible to people with disabilities.
You are allowed to bring umbrella, handbag (subject to research), backpack (subject to research), baby bag (subject to research), folding chairs, strollers (including dog strollers) and carts.
The Renaissance Is Within Reach
Yes. Our scooters (amigos) are $50 for rental. They are 1st come, 1st served. We do not reserve them. You go directly to the box office at the festival ticket office on site to rent them.
The Friday of the festival is usually a day when school-aged children go out and enjoy the festival as an excursion day. The majority of the main shows on a regular weekend don’t normally happen, and the shows are toned down for the young crowds that roam the grounds. This day is one of our less busy days. The. there is no feast, no happy hour and only 1 pub crawl. We are having a masquerade ball that day in the evening.

Groups will enjoy strolling the paths of our authentically recreated 16th century village, visiting over 80 shops offering unique arts and crafts as well as unique food options, playing games of skill and participate in a variety of human-powered rides. Plus, hundreds of costumed characters are there to liven up your party with several daily performances. Each of our seven themed weekends brings a new adventure to your group, offering unique programs, activities and more!
Lost and Found is located near the festival entrance, directly inside the gift shop. If you have lost an item and were unable to get to the lost and found location on the festival site, please be aware that our lost and found items do not arrive at the main office (where they are stored ) before the Monday following the weekend is over. Food prices range from $3 to $20. We offer a wide variety of food choices for your enjoyment. Vendors display their own prices which are not associated with the festival.
All cinematic rights are reserved. The commercial use of photos, videos or audio cassettes made at the festival without the written authorization of the marketing department is strictly prohibited. All cameras with lenses over 12 inches must obtain prior approval from Marketing to take pictures on the grounds of the Michigan Renaissance Festival. The Festival takes place in a natural and outdoor setting (grass, earth, mud, rocks, gravel). Wheelchairs and motorized wheelchairs are permitted. We have handicapped accessible parking and handicapped accessible portable toilets.
The Bristol Renaissance Faire
There is no overnight camping or parking on the Festival site. However, there are nearby campsites listed on the Groveland Oaks/Oakland County website. Also check out the KOA campgrounds located in the area.
Yes. We have 3 restaurants. The Dragon’s Den, The Dragon’s Lair (both have patio seating), and The Dragon’s Pitt which has picnic tables in the seating area. Prices vary at each location: $8 – $20. All locations are located on the festival map which you can download from the website or get when you arrive at the festival.
Yes. You can drop someone at the gate entrance, park your car and meet them at the entrance.
