A spokesperson for Arcadia said: “As part of an ongoing business review and in response to the ever-changing fashion retail landscape, areas of our store management structures have been identified where resources can be used most effectively to meet the needs of our customers. . Accordingly, we are working to restructure our retail management across Topshop and Topman.
“We remain committed to all members of our team and our first priority is to redeploy managers into newly created roles within the proposed structure.
“We are fully aware that this will be a difficult time for those affected and we will ensure that our teams are supported throughout the process of change.”
The decision to remove a store management level will affect less than 1% of Arcadia’s total workforce.

In November, Drapers revealed that Arcadia planned to cut a number of head office positions to “streamline” and future-proof the business, affecting 300 positions, including some vacancies.
