Your resume, LinkedIn page, etc. It won’t even show up without the proper credentials.
That said, there are useful books out there to help someone who knows a thing or two about Linux become a true pro. Tip: Make sure you get the latest edition of any of these books. A book that walks you through how to init a Linux instance won’t help you because it’s been largely replaced by systemd.

To really know what’s going on with the Linux kernel, you should follow the Linux Kernel Mailing List (LKML). Note, I’m not saying read it. I’m not sure anyone can read everything posted on the list; His message volume is insane. But as you gain experience, you will be able to separate the wheat from the chaff. For example, it’s a safe bet that anything Linus Torvalds posts is at least worth a glance.
I recommend getting a handle on LKML by reading its FAQ. This will make it easier to understand what is going on.
If that’s too much for you, you can subscribe to LWN.net. There are many Linux news sites, but there is only one LWN. Run by Linux kernel developer John Corbett, LWN goes deep into the details of the Linux kernel, open source software, and coding.
