How To Get A Money Tree In Animal Crossing Wild World – Money trees are an age-old trick when it comes to Animal Crossing: New Horizons. But, if you are new to the series, you probably don’t know how to use this simple trick to make thousands of bells quite easily. Lucky for you, we’ve put all the details in the guide below, so grab your shovel, bag of bells, and let’s start growing.
If you’ve never heard of a money tree, then don’t stress. A lot of people don’t. Basically, when playing Animal Crossing: New Horizons, it’s important to create bells in any way you can. For many it can be a time to go for a walk or even play in the stalk market and sell turnips. However, whatever you decide to do, setting yourself up with some money trees is a fantastic – and legitimate – way to make lots of bells and whistles on the go.

Look for a shiny spot on the ground and then dig it up to be rewarded with bells.
How To Make A Money Tree: 13 Steps (with Pictures)
Now that you know what you need, let’s start this process. All you have to do is wait until you spot one of those glowing spots on the ground—you know, the ones you dig for bells. Well, when you manage to find one (they should appear daily), dig it up and claim the bells. But wait! Don’t fill that hole yet. Instead, go ahead, open your inventory, and grab the bells you set aside earlier. If you haven’t landed a part yet, take 10,000 bells from your wallet and it should place them in an inventory slot. This will allow you to interact with them and bury them in a hole if you still have the shovel out.
Bury 10,000 bells in the shiny pit you dug and then wait a few days for the silver tree to grow.
Once you bury the 10,000 bells, keep working. After a few days, the tree will grow and yield you 30,000 bells (if you buried 10,000 bells). It will then continue to generate additional bells every few days, giving you a nice steady income. If you have room, feel free to make the most of the other brilliant holes you find around the island.

Animal Crossing New Horizons: How To Make Bells Quickly (august 2020)
Joshua has a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Creative Writing and has been exploring the world of video games for as long as he can remember. It enjoys everything from large-scale RPGs to small, bite-sized indie gems and everything in between. Have you come across the glowing spot in the ground in Animal Crossing: New Horizons? You have to find one every day, and when you do, it’s your chance to grow a money tree! If you haven’t seen this special point, keep reading to learn what you need to pay attention to in order to triple your investment in this special tree. Silver trees bear their special golden “fruit” (aka three bags of bells) once.
The spot will be around all day, so if you don’t have at least 10,000 bells stashed away in your pocket, go ahead and try to get that many before continuing. This will benefit you in the long run. You can still grow a money tree without as many bells, but your tree will be worth much less.
Once you’ve got your bells ready, dig into this magical, glowing place. You will dig 1,000 bells. Keep your shovel out, but don’t close the glowing hole! Instead, you’re going to take 10,000 bells out of your bell pool and turn them into an item. Do this by selecting the bells in your inventory and then selecting 10,000 bells as shown in the screenshot below.
You can also bury more than 10,000 bells at a time. Some users have reported that they have managed to bury 30,000 bells and more. He is researching how well it works, but we have not successfully grown any tree that produces more than 10,000 bell bags. Plant more at your own risk.

Now that your bells have become an item, select those bells in your inventory to bury them. You can also plant the 1,000 bells you found if getting 10,000 bells isn’t an option, but again, your money tree will grow significantly fewer bells.
Ta-da! The little sprout that comes up is the confirmation that you have successfully planted your first money tree. After a few days, your tree will grow to its full size and start producing three bags of bells. Each bag is worth the amount you planted, so if you planted 10,000 bells, you would earn 30,000 bells from the tree. And remember, you can only shake your tree once for money.
Did you know you can replant your money tree if it’s in a bad spot? All you need is a piece of fruit and your trusty shovel to dig up the money tree. The tree will appear in your inventory as a small tree with bell bags on it. Its name changes depending on how much it grows. A new tree will be called a “nursery silver tree” while a tree that has had a few days to grow is called a “small young silver tree”.
Did you know there are trees that drop bells when you shake them? Rumor has it that once a day, a random tree drops even more bells if you keep shaking it! There is also a random rock that will drop bells instead of resources when you hit it with your shovel. This rock changes daily.

Players, including some of our team, have reported planting over 10K and successfully growing over 10K bell bags without cheating in time travel. It is completely random and based on luck. For this reason, we do not recommend it as an effective way to earn money.
You are better off planting 10K for a guaranteed profit of 20K than planting 99K for a (likely) loss of 69K.
We have been able to confirm that you can plant 30K bells to get 90K results by using the time travel cheat to jump 2 years ahead. and 297,000 bells by planting 99K in 2000 and jumping to 2060, as long as you don’t use the same date twice. This means you can jump from 1/1/2000 to 1/1/2060 and then 1/2/2000 to 1/2/2060. Credit to Samuel Harris (@GooseSamuel on Instagram) who contacted us about the 99K planting scam. Silver trees are, well, trees that grow bells. They will only produce bells once, and after you shake the money bags off the trees, they will return to normal wood.
Initially digging the spot gives you a bag of 1,000 Bell, so you can drop it back into the hole to bury for a small return.
The amount of bells each tree gives varies, depending on how much you bury back into the glowing hole. If you bury 2,000 bells, each bag on the tree will have 2,000 bells, for a total of 6,000 bells. Some players report that burying 99,000 bells does yield three bags of 99,000. Based on our testing and research, planting more than 10,000 bells does not

If the tree is in a location you don’t like, you can use your shovel after you bury the bells. Simply dig up the seedling and plant it elsewhere. This will not affect the number of bells you get from the tree.
Update (March 27): Based on our research and experience, we’ve added more information about what happens when you bury higher Bell values.
