To fold a dollar into a heart, start by placing a dollar face down and folding the bottom edge over 1/4 inch. Then, fold the dollar in half crosswise by bringing the right side of the bill to the left, and then unfold it so it’s flat again. Next, fold the bottom corners up to the crease in the center of the dollar. Once you’ve done this, flip the dollar over and fold the 2 center corners down to meet the edge. I found it quite easy to fold and you can recreate it in a pinch. It will hold its shape even when mailed in a box. This ring looks cooler than it actually works, but I wanted to include it because the look is fun. A square top and a very large band on the ring (we’re practically talking brass imitation here). I liked it the best. It wasn’t too complicated – a squash fold – and it came out looking more impressive. The struggle is that if you don’t get the insert spot in the front, your ring won’t hold up very well. All others join the ends of the bill at the back of the ring band to form a circle. It does on the front. So it’s a more delicate design. All the same, I still like it the most.
