He was approaching 60 when his business partner Ken Wolf approached him about opening a pool hall and salon in an alley near the Denver Central Market.

When the pool hall was opened in June 2017, Gerard wanted to create a place where people come to play pool but also a place where people can meet to enjoy a great cocktail in good company.
